What We Look For in Accounting & Finance Talent
A standout LinkedIn profile tells a clear story. As Jake puts it, we look for buttoned-up formatting, visible job progression, and just the right amount of detail—“not too much, not too little.” Including context like revenue size, team scope, or management experience helps us (and hiring managers) understand what you’ve really done.
Why Some Hiring Priorities Might Be Overrated
Jake notes that many hiring managers overemphasize ERP systems, but “a lot of accounting and finance professionals feel that they can transfer those [skills] to different ERP systems easily”—and we agree. Excel skills are essential, but software can be learned. We focus on adaptability and actual experience over tech familiarity.
