D'You Know Juno - Sean Carlin

Unknown.jpeg

Name:  Sean Carlin

Nickname: Don’t really have one currently. In high school many referred to me as “the other Sean Carlin” due to having two Sean Carlins in my grade.

Position @ Juno:  Senior Talent Associate, Information Technology Division

If you weren’t a Recruiter, what would you be? Restaurant/Food Truck Owner- ideas include: Slow Your Roll (everything served is rolled; i.e.- burritos, crepes, sushi, etc.), Bubbe’s Burritos: Old Country Fusion, and Brunch-achi (trendy boozy brunch spot, cooked before your eyes by a totally non-mainstream, yet conversationally engaging chef).

Favorite thing about Philadelphia? Chinatown (specifically Sang Kee’s peking duck).

Do you have any secret skills? I am highly skilled at getting headphones untangled quickly. I am a decent cook. I know (and have performed) the 2006 viral video: The Evolution of Dance. And finally-- obscure movie quotes.

If you were a TV or movie character, who would you be? Jim Halpert from the Office circa season 4.

You get to pick one person, dead or alive, to have lunch with, who would it be?  The late, great Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead.

You are on death row – what is your last meal?  My mom’s meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Simple, home cookin’ for the last meal.

Favorite song of all time? Ripple.

Favorite movie of all time? (aka the hardest question of all time) If I have to pick just one: Miracle.

If you could live anywhere else, where would it be? New York, NY.

Where is the best cheesesteak in Philadelphia? Dalessandro’s is the best cheesesteak in Philly. Change my mind.

Favorite family tradition? Thanksgiving.

What is the best piece of advice you ever received?  You’re really going to need to rely on your sense of humor...

Biggest pet peeve?  “Where do you want to go for dinner?” “I don’t care.” “Can you just pick, please” “I really don’t care” “Okay how about [insert any suggestion]?” “Ugh, I hate it there.”

What is your strangest recruiting/resume moment? Nothing to out-of-the-ordinary yet, fingers crossed for something good soon.
